Physicians from the Emory University School of Medicine have established the Emory Executive Park Post-COVID Clinic to provide rehabilitory care for people who have recovered from acute COVID-19 illness but continue to experience persistent symptoms such as shortness of breath, chronic pain, dizziness and neuromuscular weakness.
The physicians in charge of the Clinic have recruited a diverse group of specialists, including cardiologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, rheumatologists, otolaryngologists and rehabilitation specialists, who can address patients’ individual health issues and provide guidance on best care pathways. An Emory research team also plans to investigate the origin and manifestations of “long-haul COVID-19” through the Post-COVID Clinic.
